Virtual Products: This type of product will have different variations and multiple images. For example, a t-shirt that comes in different sizes and colors, which may or may not have different prices

Simple Products: This is a single physical product that has no variations. For example, a scarf that comes in one size and one pattern/color.

Simple Virtual Product: an example of this might be a service, such as hourly consulting, where no physical product exists.

Simple Downloadable Product: this is both virtual and downloadable, such as an ebook or a music file. The number of times you can download the product might be limited and restrictions are put in place so the download link can’t be shared

Grouped Product: a collection of products that are related but purchased separately. An example would be different models of the iMac and related accessories.

External/Affiliate Product: a product you add to your store that takes buyers to another site to purchase it. An example of this would be a product that you link to on another site such as Amazon and you receive a commission.

Subscription/Membership Product: These are products that can be simple or variable and have recurring costs based on a set interval. This could be used to grant access to certain locked down content/sections of a website have recurring costs based on a set interval
