Here at Stellaractive, we’re lucky to serve a wide variety of industries. We’ve helped establish an online mattress store, launch a shoe brand, created a timeless garden club website and worked with hundreds of other organizations since our doors opened in 2007. But in all that time, we’d had yet to work with a client in the cannabis industry, one of the fastest growing consumer segments in Oregon since recreational use became legal in 2015. That is, until Green Leaf Lab approached us for support in redesigning their website.

And while you might think we’d be tempted to sprinkle in a variety of witty pot references to announce the launch of this project, the truth is that the work Green Leaf Lab does is serious business. Established in 2011, they’re one of the first analytical cannabis laboratories to open in the nation (and the first in Oregon!). Their mission is to ensure the safe consumption of cannabis and to promote the growth of a successful cannabis industry. Complex, scientific and meticulously based on robust quality control systems.
While Green Leaf Lab’s previous website included solid brand recognition, valuable content and SEO, it lacked a cohesive user experience, mobile responsiveness and specific calls-to-action designed to engage users and convert leads. The company was also poised for southward expansion into the California market, and needed a site that was able to address the nuanced differences in state regulations.
The Stellaractive team rose to the challenge and developed a site that reflects the modern nature of Green Leaf Lab’s business, showcasing a fresh look that complements their state-of-the-art business. Its clean design and minimalist color palette are a nod to the exact and quantitative nature of their testing. Even better, the site’s content is now organized in a way that maximizes access to state-specific educational information and supports Green Leaf Lab’s position as industry pioneers and experts.
We also made it much easier to generate leads through the site, with the thoughtful inclusion of contact forms in key locations. And to help convert leads to customers (and better serve Green Leaf Lab’s many long-term and established clients), we created an intuitive form to make it easy to submit requests for sample analysis.
Just like that, another industry served and another Stellar site in the books! This website is well positioned to grow, right along with Green Leaf Lab’s high demand services, for some time to come as their business and industry continue to expand and evolve.
